Hello! I'm Ada Pelonia, a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism program graduate at the University of Santo Tomas. I'm interested in stories about the environment, gender and sexuality, mental health, and popular culture. I have bylines in PhilSTAR L!fe, Philippine Daily Inquirer, CandyMag.com, and TomasinoWeb where I worked as a writer covering human interest stories of Thomasians.
As a former operations volunteer of respective production teams for UST Tiger TV, I contributed AV (audio/visual) scripts for several of its shows and news segments, including Tiger News Daily. I was the head reader of the San Francisco-based magazine Marías at Sampaguitas, where I worked with a team of five writers in reviewing literary submissions fit for publication. I also wrote book reviews for the Pakistan-based publication Walled City Journal. My experience in diverse workforces and international journals helped me dissect differing perspectives and become critical in my outlook toward writing and research.
Outside writing, I fangirl over Brett and Eddy of TwoSetViolin's interpretation of Sarasate's Navarra and try cooking my grandmother's adobo recipe for the nth time.
